Bounce to Billings for the NAIA Division 1 Women’s National Basketball Championship

It’s time to get your game face on! Get to Billings, Mon. for the 37th annual NAIA Division 1 Women’s Basketball National Championship March 15-21. The city of Billings and Rocky Mountain College were selected to play official hosts for the 2017 and 2018 tournaments. All games will be played in the Rimrock Auto Arena at Metra Park. The NAIA Division 1 Women’s National Basketball Championship is comprised of 32 qualifiers from across the nation. The single elimination tournament kicked off Wednesday morning and will have games throughout each day and evening, with the championship game taking place on Tuesday, March 21 at 7 p.m. Can’t make the tournament in person? Fans can view live stats and LIVE.STREAM the games.The championship game will air Tuesday on ESPN3.

Four teams from the Frontier Conference made it to this year’s tournament with three of them from Montana. Montana State University- Northern enters the tournament as the No.3 seed in the Liston bracket. The Skylights kickoff their tournament play against Loyola (La.) on Thursday, March 16 at 8 p.m. GO SKYLIGHTS!! Montana Western, seeded No.6 in the Cramer bracket, will face the No. 3 seeded, Columbia (Mo.) Wednesday, March 15 at 5:45 p.m.  Rocky Mountain College, the tournament host, is the No. 8 seed in the Naismith bracket. Rocky will open the tournament facing off against the top-seeded Freed-Hardeman (Tenn.) on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
