Fall Fun On The Vineyard

Just because the sun has set on summertime, does not mean the fun is over on Martha’s Vineyard. In fact, the fall is one of the best times of the year to visit. The island boasts beautiful fall foliage, much smaller crowds than during the summer months, and the calendar is jam-packed with festivals and events throughout the fall season. Here is a guide on the best events to attend on Martha’s Vineyard this fall:

Harbor View

Martha’s Vineyard Food & Wine Festival

Wine and foodies alike will gather for four days and nights of wine tastings and special events to celebrate the Island’s rich tradition of farming and fishing. The events will introduce guests to local culinary talent, farmers, and oyster producers, while also bringing in guest chefs and vintners from Boston and beyond. A portion of the proceeds benefit the Martha’s Vineyard Agricultural Society, whose annual grant program assists and perpetuates agriculture on Martha’s Vineyard. Fall For The Arts

For the entire month of October, Martha’s Vineyard will be celebrating the depth and diversity of the island’s arts and culture with Fall for the Arts. Galleries and studios stay open through the month of October for special events and showcases. The culinary arts are also highlighted with the Art of Chocolate event and the Martha’s Vineyard Food and Wine Festival. The month concludes with Art*Island, a festival of arts and ideas.
